Instal Windows Internet Explorer 8

Pressing Win-w and type Windows Features will find youTurn Windows Features on or off.

It is in that list that you should seeInternet Explorer 10 and, by your symptoms, it will undoubtedly be unchecked. So toggle it on. Even if you don't have it checked IE10 would still appear installed as far as updates were concerned.However, I recently saw proof that somehow that item can be removed from that list and so far, nobody seems to know how or what to do about it (apart from refreshing the OS.)This isn't the incident that I was thinking of.
